Information Management and Integration Technical User Forum
Abstract:
The SmartPlant Information Management and Integration (IM&I) Technical User Forum (TUF) is open to all current users of Intergraph’s SmartPlant Foundation, AIM, Directa, SmartPlant Markup, and integration technology. The agenda will include a review of activities and business for the previous year by the regional chairs. Intergraph will review upcoming product releases, including the status of Route 66 along with SmartPlant Foundation and SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators positioning, features, and futures. This will be followed by a joint discussion on the new product backlog prioritization process. Intergraph will spotlight its Microsoft SharePoint site for collaboration. Finally, Bechtel and Intergraph will discuss the FIATECH Camelot project.

SmartPlant Materials Technical User Forum
Abstract: The SmartPlant Materials Technical User Forum (TUF) is open to all current users of Intergraph's SmartPlant Materials product suite. This TUF provides a forum for exchange of ideas between fellow users and Intergraph representatives. Benefits of Technical User Forum membership will be discussed and new clients are encouraged to join the TUF. During the session, the previous year’s TUF activities and achievements will be reviewed. The new .NET user interface will be shown and explained and SmartPlant Materials functional details highlighted, followed by a question-and-answer period. A new TUF chairman will be elected, and action items for 2009-2010 will be determined.

Instrumentation and Electrical Technical User Forums Joint Meeting
Abstract: The SmartPlant Electrical and SmartPlant Instrumentation Technical User Forums (TUFs) are open to all current users of these two Intergraph solutions. This combined TUF meeting will include an Intergraph update on what is new in recent releases and also the product roadmaps – the short-, middle-, and long-term directions of SmartPlant Electrical and SmartPlant Instrumentation. The meeting will provide a peer forum to exchange ideas and experiences and to provide feedback to Intergraph. During the session, the chairs of the individual TUFs will discuss the activities and achievements from the previous year and the upcoming planned events. This joint meeting will continue last year’s dialogue of the common electrical and instrumentation (E&I) engineering and design tasks, status, and short- and long-term vision of the E&I solutions.

Instrumentation Technical User Forum Break-Out Meeting
Abstract: The SmartPlant Instrumentation Technical User Forum (TUF) break-out session will include an Intergraph update on SmartPlant Instrumentation 2009, major initiatives under consideration beyond the next release, and user presentations to share experiences and success. The session will also include TUF prioritization of the change requests to the product followed by an open Q&A session with SmartPlant Instrumentation users and experts.

Electrical Technical User Forum Break-Out Session
Abstract: Attend the SmartPlant Electrical Technical User Forum (TUF) break-out session to share experiences, learn from others, and help set product direction. Discuss the items requested by existing users and the industry. The meeting will provide a forum to exchange ideas and experiences among peers and Intergraph representatives. This meeting will also include an opportunity to discuss and learn about the product’s new capabilities.

Structural Technical User Forum Break-Out Session
Abstract: The Structural Technical User Forum (TUF) break-out session will include a review and open discussion of the new Agile (Scrum) development process being deployed throughout Intergraph Process, Power & Marine. Emphasis will be placed on involving TUF members in this process to provide continued guidance on requirements and the priority of development activities. During an open forum, discuss the TUF officers and organizational changes. Evaluate upcoming features in 2009, future enhancements, and work processes. The session will close with a spotlight on the structural roadmap covering the next several releases.

Process Design and Engineering Technical User Forums Joint Meeting
Abstract: The Process, Design & Engineering individual TUFs will meet together. This is open to all current users of Intergraph’s SmartPlant P&ID solution. The meeting will provide a forum to exchange ideas among fellow users and Intergraph representatives. During the session, the chairs of the individual TUFs will discuss the activities and achievements from the previous year and the upcoming planned events. There will also be a brief overview of upcoming releases for SmartPlant P&ID, followed by a question-and-answer period.

3D and Visualization Technical User Forums Joint Meeting
Abstract: The individual PEHM (Piping, Equipment and HVAC), Visualization, and Structural TUFs will meet together to begin the day, followed by subject-area breakouts in the afternoon. The morning session will include a brief review of TUF offers and roles. This will be followed by discussions of interest to Intergraph 3D and visualization customers in general, including improvements to performance and usability in 3D applications, the integration of PDS and SmartPlant 3D, and TUF survey results on technology/IT directions and their near- and midterm impacts on 3D.

PDS Subject-Area Break-Out Meeting
Abstract: The PDS subject-area breakout will include requirements discussions. Intergraph will provide an overview of its understanding of market requirements along with current plans for meeting them. Currently planned are a discussion of the current workshare situation and the improvements that Intergraph has planned for 2010. Intergraph would like to gather requirements how to further improve the workflow. Also to be discussed are new publishing capabilities for SmartPlant Review, SmartPlant Foundation, and SmartPlant Construction. Additionally, the session will collect and discuss requirements for the next PDS releases. Action items for 2009-2010 will be determined.

SmartPlant 3D Subject-Area Break-Out Meeting
Abstract: The SmartPlant 3D subject-area breakout will include three requirements discussions, where Intergraph will provide an overview of its understanding of market requirements along with current plans for meeting them. An open-forum discussion will then occur where users can provide feedback in the form of corrections, clarifications, and general statements on fitness for use and/or appropriateness of prioritization. During the last 15 minutes of each requirements discussion, all attendees will be asked to fill out a survey on the topic of discussion, thus allowing everyone in attendance ample opportunity to provide critical input. Current requirements discussions planned are: Duct Roadmap for Smart 3D Products, Hetero-3D Workflows with Smart 3D Products, and Electrical Design.

Visualization Subject-Area Break-Out Meeting
Abstract: In this breakout session of the Visualization TUF, the current officer positions and proposed organizational changes will be reviewed. In addition, the new 3D navigation and user experience enhancements planned for release later this year will be evaluated in detail. Attendees will be asked to complete a survey. Anyone with ideas on how to improve the casual user experience when navigating the 3D model in any phases of the project will want to attend. Experience in SmartPlant 3D, SmartMarine 3D, SmartPlant Review, or SmartPlant Foundation is useful but not required as the group discusses and prioritizes visualization requests and market requirements.

Architectural Technical User Forum Break-Out Session
Abstract: With the recent introduction of the Architectural Technical User Forum (TUF), this break-out session will spotlight the formation of the organization and the establishment of officers. Next, the presenter will give an overview of Intergraph organizations, review current functionality for the architectural discipline, and identify vehicles of communication. Hear a detailed explanation of the new Agile (Scrum) development process being deployed throughout Intergraph Process, Power & Marine. Emphasis will be placed on involving TUF members in this process to provide guidance on requirements and priority of development activities. During an open forum, discuss immediate needs in the area of architecture modeling. Plus, explore various methods to successfully launch and implement SmartPlant 3D in your own company.
